Vintage Green Glass Barrel Decanter

A wonderfully unusual vintage green glass decanter, designed in the form of a traditional wooden wine or spirit barrel.

Made from rich bottle-green glass, the rounded body has been moulded with horizontal plank detailing and raised barrel hoops, creating a wonderfully convincing miniature barrel effect.

Rising from the centre is a tall ribbed neck with a substantial glass handle, finished with its original-style cork stopper.

The deep emerald green glass is particularly attractive when it catches the light, revealing the moulded details and subtle variations within the glass.

It is a wonderfully decorative piece with just the right combination of rustic character and slightly eccentric vintage charm.

Why we like it

It's the barrel shape that makes this one.

From the front it has the unmistakable appearance of a miniature wine barrel, while from the side the little handle and tall bottle neck completely change its silhouette.

We also love the deep green glass. Against old timber, stoneware, brass or other vintage bottles it looks fantastic.
