Moulin de Loups French Oyster Serving Plate c.1950

This very rare Majolica Oyster Serving Platter was originally made by Moulin de Loups in Orchies, Northern France c. 1950.

Beautifully glazed it was designed to hold 12 oysters and the 2 smaller central shapes to hold the traditional mignonette sauce.

In an unusual green colour this would make a lovely & highly unusual decorative plate, but equally can still be used for serving oysters!

It measures 33cm in diameter and weighs 1.15kg.

It is in fantastic condition with just a very small chip which is hardly visible. This is shown in the close up photo. A lovely plate to add to a collection.
