This beautiful antique stoneware bottle is a timeless piece of rustic French charm from the mid to late 1800's. With its rich brown glaze, softly rounded shoulders, and elegant loop handle, it’s a classic example of traditional utilitarian pottery that would once have been used for storing oils, spirits, or water.
It is embossed with the original makers mark of 'CD' in a circle on the front of the bottle.
The glaze has developed a wonderful depth and gentle sheen over time, with subtle variations and small imperfections that add to its authentic, well-loved character. Its tall, slender form makes it especially striking when styled on open shelves, a kitchen dresser, or as part of a vintage display.
This bottle is 12cm wide to the handle, 8cm in diameter and 28cm tall. It is in fantastic vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Perfect as a decorative accent for farmhouse, French country, or brocante-inspired interiors, this bottle also looks lovely displayed on its own or grouped with other antique ceramics.
