A rich, almost treacle-brown glaze runs around the rim and continues throughout the interior, providing a lovely contrast against the natural matt terracotta body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAcross the front is the original black transfer decoration bearing the Royal Barum crest and the words: FRUIT JUICE, Royal Barum Ware\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe smaller lettering also references C. H. Brannam Ltd, Barnstaple and Litchdon Potteries, Devon, giving the jug a particularly appealing connection to North Devon's long pottery-making heritage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt 16 cm high, it's a little taller than its matching Royal Barum Ware Milk jug and the two look particularly good displayed together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere's something wonderfully nostalgic about these pieces.
