This unusual nautical themed shadowbox picture of the Tramontana looks really effective with it's 3D model and tied knots mounted into a box frame.
The model boat has been made as a 1:19 scale of the actual Tramontana, which was a traditional Llaut - a sailing boat used for fishing and for coastal trips in the Balearic Islands.
Each knot is made from real rope and has been tied perfectly. A description of the knot is underneath each one, in French.
It is numbered and shows the scale and a description of the Tramontana boat beneath the model.
This picture is estimated to be from the 1950's. Everything is in perfect condition, apart from the top corners which are slightly chipped as shown in the pictures, and the matt white paint has cracked at the join in the top right of the frame however, someone could easily repair and repaint the wooden frame if they wanted to, and overall it does not detract at all from the picture and it can be hung and admired as it is.
It measures 73cm wide, 44cm high and the depth is 6cm.
This stunning picture would make a lovely addition to any home, sailing club, pub or nautical business and would be a real talking point!
